It was another glorious day up at Lighthouse Oval on Saturday when the under 12 Girls Black team faced off against Culburra. The Panthers took to the field short players due to school holidays. With only 7 girls the Panthers were fortunate to enlist the talent and skills of Tully from under 11s. Tully was in fine form, she showed great courage and fortitude- especially after taking a vicious ball to the face. Thank you Tully for your outstanding effort, it was greatly appreciated.
Once again Sophie and Claire were formidable in defence. Kaitlyn, in her debut, ran all game and had some fantastic kicks. Grace was strong in defence and calm in goals in the second half. Emily was in goals in the first half and was busy running up front in the second half. Tilly gave it her everything in the middle and up front. Elle put in a brilliant performance, running, attacking and challenging all game. Milton held the ball, maintained their positions and improved their passing. The final score was 1 all with our goal being scored by Sophie Whitmore. The team should be proud of their amazing efforts. All the girls gave all they had today, playing short. They were fantastic sports and should be proud of how well they played today! Well done Panthers!
