We have some important information to share with you regarding the bottome oval, our policy on dogs, parking and more.
BOTTOM OVAL
Our bottom oval is our competition field and so there is to be no training on it at all. We have ample room on the top oval for everyone to use. The club does all the maintainence for this oval and is used excessively for competition games during the season, which is why we want to keep it in pristene condition. Please adhere to this request as we will give one warning if we catch any training on there, the next time you will be asked to fron the board.
DOGS ON FIELDS
Please note the club has the fields booked through council for training and games. We have a club policy of no dogs to be taken onto the grounds during this time. Please keep your dog outside the fence line otherwise we wil ask you and your pet to leave the field. The reason we have this policy in place is beacuse we have strong numbers in our juniors and many young children are afraid of dogs. We aim to provide a safe environment whilst playing/training and this is one of the precautions we have in place in order for this to happen.
WET WEATHER
Please keep an eye on our Facebook page. If anything is postponed/cancelled or if grounds are closed we will share it on there. On Saturday’s we inspect the oval at 7am to see if it is ok to play on. For weekdays this procedure is done before 4pm.
PORTABLE GOALS
Our under 8 and 9 goals will be sercured and are not to be moved. The portable posts on the main field for the under 10, 11 and 12 field are secured by heavy sand bags. If you move them you must lay them down and put the sand bags on them. If you do move these you must put them back unless advised not to by another coach, then the responsibility of returning the goals is on them. Fines by law for unsecured posts can go up to $2000 or possible prison time, and no we aren’t joking.
GAME DAY
The fields are set up by a group of volunteers at 7:30am on Saturday mornings. The team that is playing last on that field are responsible to return the nets and posts to our storage shed. Parents, please jump in and help as it does not take long, don’t just walk away and leave the coach to pack up. They are volunteering their time for your child so it would be nice to support them in this way.
NIGHT GAMES
This is the same as above but before you take the nets down please double check as there will be times when the nets are left up as there is games on the following night.
PARKING
You will find once all teams and Minis start that parking is a nightmare. We ask that if your child is playing in the under 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 age groups could you please park on the far side near the cricket nets as you will be closer to your games and there will be more room to park. Please park nose in when parking on the grass at top oval. If your child is playing under 5, 6, 8, 13, 14 age groups please use the bottom car park. If you are lucky there may be parking available within the fenceline for the bottom oval. If parking here please make sure you are past the black line as it prevents the road being blocked. This is really important for emergency situations. Even with these measures there will still be a chance you may have to park on the road. This is a known issue we are in the process of fixing alongside council but until it is resolved we do ask for your cooperation.
