2024 Minis SUMMER Soccer
This is an informal summer mixed program for the ages of 5, 6, 7 and 8. Age groups are combined as 5/6s and 7/8s. The aim is to get the kids kicking a ball and having fun with their peers. The format is 20min halves with a 5min half time. Game times are managed with a siren from the Clubhouse.
Cubs - 5/6s will kick off at 4.00pm.
Ocelots - 7/8s will kick off at 4.55pm.
The program will run on Monday afternoons beginning on the 14th of October, running through until the 16th of December, finishing with an End of Season BBQ.
Each team requires a game leader (coach) plus parent assistants on the sideline to manage subs.
We require support to set up and pack down fields, and to man the BBQ each week. If this is something you can assist with, please contact the club email admin@mufc.net.au to let us know!
The Minis Summer Soccer Committee will select teams to create an even competition. This is a fun, social competition and therefore scores will not be recorded and no table will be kept. Players are swapped between teams on the day as necessary to ensure even team numbers.
What players will need:
boots or joggers (the boot bin will be available each week, located at the Clubhouse)
shin pads
long socks to cover shin pads
clothing comfortable to run in
drink bottle
Team bibs will be provided on the day. Players not wearing shin guards will not be permitted to participate due to safety.
