Reminder on Club Policies

PLAYERS—COACHS—FAMILY—FRIENDS

We have several policies that have now been sent out to read and please adhere to .

PORTABLE POSTS

The under 8 and 9 field posts are never to be moved.
The portable posts on main field for 10s and 11s are only to be moved by COACHS when required for training by seniors. Players are not to move them at any time. When moved these posts must be put back by coach who moves them.
NOTE that even when laying down the sand bags must be on them, the fines if these are not secured at all times is up to $2000. There is also a possible jail sentence. For those unaware a young child was killed at Moss Vale several years ago when an unrestrained post was pulled over. So please, if you see any children climbing on or swinging on the posts, ask them to move away.

CANTEEN ROSTER
Please note there will be a canteen roster posted each week. If your team is rostered we ask 2 persons from the team attend for 1hour. We need the help to assist our volunteer in canteen as it gets very busy.

PARKING
No doubt you have already seen how hard it is to find parking once all teams start and the minis, it is a nightmare. Please follow these instructions as it eases thing’s a lot.
TOP AREA PARKING
Teams advised to use this area:
Under 7s—primary girls-under 9-10-11 and if due to play on top field 12girls and boys
Please park as close as possible and sensibly down untarred area you can park along both sides of road NOTE please do not PARALLEL park. Please park nose in.
BOTTOM CAR PARK
UNDER 5-6-8 minis

GEAR PACK UP
Thanks to our early morning crew all fields are set up each Saturday for play if your team is last to play it is the responsibility of your team to pack up nets posts etc and return to gear shed. Parents, please jump up and do this, don’t leave it for the coach who does enough. It only takes a few minutes to pack up.
Night games a volunteer sets up so if you are asked to, please take gear down. If games are on the next night they are left up so check with your coach who will be told if gear needs packing up.

COACHS —GOALS

If a lot of teams are using field and you need to do a goal drill session please discuss between yourselves to share the space.
NOTE unless doing a goal drill please don’t do general training in goal box. We have to save area as best we can as the more traffic that is on it the faster it wears down.

BOTTOM OVAL

NOTE
There is NO training on the bottom oval and NO use of goal areas at any time.
We have 16 competition teams playing on this field this season THUS if caught using area and goals you we be called into club to explain why you are there.

DOGS
As we have the field booked and under our control for our season we have a club rule in regards dogs at the fields,
NO dogs are allowed onto the oval at GAMES and TRAINING times. A lot of children are scared of dogs as we aim to have a safe and supportive environment at the oval. If you cannot leave your dog home, you must keep your dogs OUTSIDE the fence line and on a leash.
Thanks for your assistance and understanding in regards dogs at oval.

WE THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR ASSISTANCE AND UNDERSTANDING IN REGARDS OUR CLUB POLICYS.

Junior Teams are almost FULL!

Wow.

We now have 5 age groups that are full as can be, and 3 more that are so close it’s insane. Please note that if the age group your child is in is full we do have a waitlist in place in case we get the numbers to open up an extra team so don’t let it deter you from registering.

We do still need a few more for our U12 Mixed teams and so if your child is turning 11 or 12 this year they can join in! Register asap to secure a spot!

Just Another Update, We are almost FULL!

Can you believe it? It’s not even March and we almost have every Junior team full!

I am starting to sound like a broken record but please make sure you register your child asap so that they do not miss out on a spot. Even if the teams a full feel free to register as we have waitlists in place. If we get enough on this list we can look at making a new team.

2021 is shaping up to be huge! Bring of the actual #yearofthepanther

Positions Remaining in Junior Teams

As the days count down to the start of our season, our teams are appearing fuller and fuller.

We are still needing quite a number of players for our U12 Mixed side. As the U11 teams are full we are asking if any players aged 11 that did not register in time for their age group would like to play in the U12 mixed team to make up numbers. If this is you please register and let us know so we can place you in this side!

Facebook News Ban

Unfortunately our Facebook page has fallen victim to the Facebook news ban and so all future information will be posted on here, our website! You can still access events on the page but all our posts have been removed and we can not post any new content.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience this has caused and we are working on getting it all back.

For now, save our website as a favourite and check it regularly for updates.

Kind regards,

MUFC Committee

We need you!

Special Request:

We are committed to helping develop our coaches and support them in learning core skills.

We have been lucky in securing a grant to cover the registration cost and host the skill training certificate in Ulladulla (instead of travelling), but, we need 12 coach registrations to go ahead.

Coach development is an important part of our strategic plan and serves to help players, the coach and the Club.

If you are coaching this year and even just considering it, please register before Monday 22nd Feb and help us continue to grow our Club and its professionalism.

Registrations are OPEN!

It’s official, registrations for the 2021 season are now open! We have kept our early bird special running be sure not to miss out on this discount and register before the 15th of February. We also accept Active Kids Vouchers and so don’t forget to utilise this when registering to save some dollars.

There are some changes for the year so please have a read as some may affect you and/or your family.

The boys competitions have had a change up. The age groups this year that play on a full field are U12 (born 2009), U14 (born 2008 and 2007) and U16 (born 2006 and 2005). The U12 will be played on a Saturday morning where as the U14 and U16 teams will play Wednesday nights.

Players turning 16 are eligible to play in the senior teams (Men and Women) if they so wish but will need to let the club know through email. That said, we encourage players to play at their age group with their peers as they can always play for both U16 and the senior teams.

The U12 girls will now be played on a full field with a squad of 16 rather then the smaller field and numbers.

The U12 and U14 girls will play on a Saturday morning where the U16 girls will play on a Wednesday night.

The U11, U10 and U9 competitions are mixed, but if girls do not wish to play in these teams there are other options listed below, just please email the club which option suits your daughter so that we can slot her in the right place.

  1. Girls turning 11 may play in the mixed U11 team or in the U12 girls

  2. Girls turning 9 or 10 may play in the mixed team or join the Primary Girls (more information to come)

The Primary Girls is a non-competition squad run by our life member Gwen Johnson. The aim of this squad is to allow girls the chance to learn the fundamentals of the game in a supportive and fun manner. This group trains weekly and the plays a game on a Saturday morning against each other. This is perfect for beginners and for those who are not comfortable or confident enough to join the mixed, competitive teams.

The U9 and U10 teams will play in a Southern Competition so will only play teams in the southern part of our association (for example Basin and Huskisson).

The Mini Roo’s (U5 to U8) have a shorter more intensive season and so will be starting later in the year. Training for the U8 and U7 teams will start earlier but more information and a confirmation of dates will come in the coming weeks.

Our senior teams (Women, Men and Over 35’s) have already started training which is listed below. We welcome all new and returning players as we prepare for the season ahead.

  • Senior Men and Over 35’s training Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:45 to 8:00 pm

  • Senior Women training Monday and Wednesday nights from 5:45 to 7:30 pm

Training for junior teams will be announced shortly as we appoint coaches and gain registrations. Grading days will also be posted in the coming days for age groups with multiple teams. Please note you must be registered in order to participate in these days so it is in your best interest to register asap. Please note that it is club policy to grade teams that play in the same grade equally. We do our best to ensure this is the case. Teams are graded A and B when there is an A and B competition in that age group. The association has not released which age groups will have this grading but we will inform those that it effects as soon as we can.

If you have any questions at all please feel free to contact us on admin@mufc.net.au or contact our Facebook page as we are more then happy to help you.

Bring on the 2021 season!! #theyearofthepanther

Introducing 2020 Life Member Neil Wade

This year we didn’t get to celebrate at a presentation night/day and so consequently we didn’t get to announce a very special, prestigious award. I am absolutely honoured to announce that we presented Neil Wade as a MUFC Life Member.
Neil has been part of the club since 1991 and retired from playing in 2017. He has also been on the board for 20 years, he became a referee back in 2015 and was also a part of the SDFA committee for 2 years. Neil has was also a coach for 20 years for us here at MUFC and at Southern for 5 years. Both Neil’s children played for MUFC while they were living in the area so the love of the game definitely runs in the family.
When he was asked what he loved most about our club he replied that he loves how we focus on our juniors (boasting the biggest minis in the area) and getting kids playing. He also mentioned how he has met so many great people including some life long friends.
Congratulations Neil, we are very thankful for your service and dedication to MUFC. We would also love to thank Neil’s wife Denise for sharing him with us for so long and for also having a hand in our club behind the scenes. We are beyond blessed and are looking forward to what we achieve with you in the future.

NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

MILTON ULLADULLA FOOTBALL CLUB INC

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of Milton Ulladulla Football Club Incorporated will be held on Monday 19th October 2020 in the Clubroom, Lighthouse Oval, Ulladulla at 6.30 pm.

Agenda

1.       Welcome

2.       Receive Apologies

3.       Confirm the minutes of the special general meeting held on Monday 14th October 2019

4.       To receive and consider the financial statements and confirm that they are true and fair.

5.       To consider and if thought fit pass one Special Resolution

6.       Declare the director positions for the succeeding year

7.       Close the meeting

SPECIAL RESOLUTION

“That Clause 13 - Composition of the Committee of the Constitution of Milton Ulladulla Football Club Incorporated (Club) be replaced by the following:

 13.         COMPOSITION OF THE COMMITTEE

 13.1      Composition of the Committee

 (a)                The Committee shall comprise up to ten (10) Directors all of whom must be Members of the Club and shall be elected under clause 14 at the Annual General Meeting of the Club held each year in accordance with clause 21.

 (b)                The Committee shall, as soon as reasonably practicable after the Annual General Meeting held each year, elect from their number, the following office bearers:

•     Executive Director (whose powers and duties are prescribed at clause 18)

•     Secretary

•     Treasurer

•     Club Captain

•     Publicity Officer

and shall, as soon as reasonably practicable after that election, post the names of the elected office bearers on the Club website.

 13.2      Appointed Director

The Committee may appoint up to one (1) Appointed Director under clause 15.”

EXPLANATORY MESSAGE

The primary reason for the above proposed amendment is to delete the last sentence of current sub-clause 13.1 of the Constitution which, in effect, means that an MUFC Director cannot represent the Club at meetings of Shoalhaven District Football Association Inc (Association).

•     The last sentence of sub-clause 13.1 currently states ‘A Director cannot also be a Delegate’, a Delegate being defined under sub-clause 2.1 as ‘the person(s) appointed from time to time to act for and on behalf of the Club and to represent the Club at Association General Meetings’.

•      The Club’s Constitution is modelled on the Association’s Constitution. In the Association context, the provision that ‘A Director cannot also be a Delegate’, would prohibit an Association Director from also being a formal Delegate of a club of which he or she may be a member. Such a provision is neither relevant nor practically applicable to MUFC (or any other club in the Association) and should be deleted.

Other proposed amendments to clause 13 (including deletion of sub-clause 13.3) are minor and editorial in nature. These amendments are designed to simplify clause 13 and make it easier to read - they do not change the substance or intended effect of clause 13.

NOTES TO MEMBERS

1.            All Life Members and Members of the Club are entitled to vote on the Special Resolution.

2.            To be passed, the Special Resolution must receive votes in favour from not less than three-quarters (75%) of those members who, being eligible to do so, vote in person at the meeting.

3.            As a result of the Special Resolution provisions of the Incorporated Associations Act 2009, the Special Resolution must be considered as a whole and cannot be altered by motions from the floor of the meeting.

4.            Members should read the Explanatory Message following the Special Resolution which explains the nature and effects of the amendment to clause 13 contained in the Special Resolution.

5.            A copy of the current Constitution of Milton Ulladulla Football Club Incorporated (14 October 2019) is posted with this notice.

Reminder Notice Regarding Club Policies and Safety

COVID 19

As part of our Covid Safety Plan we ask that if any of the following applies to you or your household that you/your child do not come to training or games.

  • if you have cold like symptoms

  • if you have visited any of the NSW hot spots

  • if you or someone in your household is self isolating

  • if you or someone in your household are awaiting results of a Covid 19 test

Please know that our coaches and managers have the full support of the committee if they ask you to leave training/games when one or more of the above apply.

SPECTATORS

Football NSW, our association and MUFC are continually monitoring the current numbers and hot spots in NSW. Although restrictions have eased for sporting fields we ask that only parents or carers attend games. We completely understand that sometimes extended family and friends would like to watch you or your child play but we need to make sure we are doing everything we can to keep our community safe.

DOG POLICY

We have issued two notices in regard to dogs at Lighthouse Oval. It is club policy that our oval is dog free as many young children are afraid of dogs and we aim to make our space a safe environment. We are responsible for the oval and have a duty of care to our players, volunteers and spectators. We understand that some ovals do allow this, but Lighthouse Oval is not one of these. Please leave your dog at home.

PARKING

No doubt that if you were at the oval on Saturday you would have experienced how incredibly busy our car park is now that our Mini Roo season has kicked off. To ensure our car park is as safe as possible and to make sure you are closer to your games we have a few points for you to follow.

- UNDER 7S, 9S, 10S, 11S, 12GIRLS, PRIMARY GIRLS: Could you please use the top parking lot. When parking along the fence line of the unit block please park nose in or reverse in. Do not parallel park as it takes up too much sort after space. Those parking along the oval fence line please park smartly so we can fit as many cars in as possible.

- MINIS, 13BOYS AND 14GIRLS: Please use the bottom car park. When parking please park in the marked lines. If you are parking on the grass area make sure you leave room for others to get in and out. There are places to park inside the fence line on the bottom oval but please be aware this is where emergency vehicles access the field. You must park past the black line if you are parking on the side facing the field. This ensures the drive way is clear. We had may cars not following this on Saturday and if it continues we will need to shut the gate as it is a priority to have access to the fields in case of emergency.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we appreciate your help in ensuring our club stays safe.
